3. Introduction to PROMs developed by the EORTC
Computer adaptive testing: the future of PRO assessment?
Computer-adaptive testing (CAT) is a measurement approach for PROs that tailors questions to the individual patient to increase precision and reduce assessment length. Based on a patient’s prior responses, an algorithm selects the most relevant items from a larger pool of questions to ensure they match the patient's current health status.
Currently, the only EORTC PROM transferred for CAT is the EORTC QLQ-C30 (EORTC CAT Core).
