Interview-based PRO assessment (2): Interview style
Reflect your interview style!
Because the interviewer may unintentionally influence responses, use a neutral, standardised approach.
- Focus only on collecting PRO data, avoid extra conversation.
- Create a comfortable atmosphere and emphasise there are no “right” or “wrong” answers.
- Ask questions neutrally (non-suggestive).
- If asked for clarification, explain wording only, avoid interpreting meaning
- Allow time to think.
- If an answer is unclear, do not assume a response category. Repeat the response categories for clarification.
