7. Interpretation of Patient-Reported Outcome data

Why is it important to learn about the interpretation of PROMs?

For PROMs to be used to optimise treatment and care, both HCPs and patients must be able to understand the meaning of PRO data and relevant changes in them.

The first step for interpreting PRO data is scoring, the conversion of patient-reported responses into predefined scale scores (automated for electronic PRO assessment).

Based on the scores, adequate further interpretation approaches can be selected depending on the goals of PRO assessment.

Further details will be provided in the following slides.
