Résumé
- Les PROMs favorisent une communication structurée et centrée sur le patient en recueillant systématiquement les perspectives et les expériences des patients concernant le fardeau lié à la maladie et au traitement.
- Présenter les PROMs aux patients nécessite d'expliquer clairement leur objectif, leur pertinence et la manière dont les données recueillies seront utilisées.
- Les données PRO peuvent structurer les échanges entre le patient et les professionnels de santé en se concentrant sur les aspects les plus importants pour le bien-être du patient.
- Les patients peuvent avoir besoin d'un soutien continu pour remplir régulièrement les PROMs, tandis que le non-remplissage doit être traité au moyen de stratégies ciblées, adaptées à ses causes sous-jacentes.
- Les données PRO devraient être discutées de manière systématique lors des consultations, car le fait que les patients constatent que leurs données PRO sont activement utilisées constitue un facteur de motivation essentiel.
- La communication basée sur les PRO devrait être adaptée aux besoins individuels, en tenant compte notamment d'une sensibilité aux contextes culturels et d'un abord soigneux des sujets sensibles que les PROMs peuvent aider à identifier.
- La communication basée sur les PRO entre professionnels de santé favorise une répartition claire des rôles et des échanges interdisciplinaires, permettant des décisions thérapeutiques en équipe fondées sur une compréhension partagée du bien-être global du patient et du fardeau qu'il ressent.
